BIO
I am a PhD researcher in Paediatric Critical Care at Imperial College London, supervised by Professor Padmanabhan Ramnarayan, Dr David Antcliffe, Dr Myrsini Kaforou and Dr Rebecca Womersley. Alongside my PhD, I work as a Research Assistant within the Critical Care Research Group.
My research focuses on inflammatory subphenotyping in children with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and severe acute respiratory failure. I am particularly interested in understanding the biological heterogeneity of critical illness and how inflammatory biomarker profiles can be used to identify distinct patient subgroups and inform more personalised treatment approaches.
Prior to commencing my PhD, I worked as a Research Technician at Imperial College London. My previous experience also includes working as a Molecular Research Scientist in the diagnostics industry, where I was involved in the development and validation of multiplex molecular assays for sepsis diagnosis. I hold an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Glasgow and have also undertaken research at the Cancer Research UK Scotland Institute.
