BIO
I am a researcher with over 10 years of experience in biomedical research, with a strong interest in the interplay between mechanical forces and cell and tissue physiology. My work combines quantitative microscopy techniques, in vitro reconstitution, image analysis, and biochemistry to investigate immune cell biology and signalling. I am particularly drawn to interdisciplinary approaches that bridge different areas of science to drive innovation.
I enjoy exploring new ways to tackle complex scientific questions and am especially interested in the potential of DNA nanotechnology for biomedical applications. My current research focuses on understanding the role of CD20 in coordinating B cell metabolism and mechanics, as well as developing tools to reliably measure forces in various epithelial cells and tissues.
My big research aim is to contribute to our understanding how cellular mechano-responsiveness is modulated by cell and tissue energetic state which can be modulated by nutrient availability, metabolic activity or various metabolic pathologies.
Beyond my research, I am committed to promoting reproducibility and open science, and I take pride in mentoring and supporting colleagues as well as students to foster a collaborative and productive research environment.
