DrSabine van Elsland

Summary
Sabine serves as the external relationships & communications manager to the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis. She manages the MRC Centres communications, media relations and infodemic management, and supports capacity building, engagement activities and outreach activities. She is a member of the School of Public Health People & Culture Committee and the Imperial College COVID-19 Response Team.

Sabine is an infectious disease epidemiologist with a background in public health and health systems research. She is passionate about contributing to sustainable knowledge translation. Her own research focused on the evaluation of treatment programmes for paediatric HIV and Tuberculous meningitis. After ten years in South Africa, she relocated to the UK in 2018 to join Imperial College London.
